Description
After playing to packed crowds in NYC, Toronto, and Belgrade, Joseph Sikorski's new documentary "TOWER TO THE PEOPLE-Tesla's Dream at Wardenclyffe Continues" will be coming to the Crest Westwood Theatre for a limited one-week engagement. The film tells the story of humanitarian scientist Nikola Tesla's global plans for wireless energy through a mysterious tower on Long Island, NY... and how those plans were thwarted by the forces of greed around him. But generations later, Tesla's struggle against the day's corporate titans received some form of vindication. Using technology the visionary himself helped pioneer, the modern world united to save his last lab on the planet from destruction.

"TOWER TO THE PEOPLE-Tesla's Dream at Wardenclyffe Continues" features newly restored rare photos from the archives of the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade, as well as interviews with celebrity illusionist Penn Jillette, the Oatmeal's Matthew Inman, Nikola Tesla's last remaining close relative, grandnephew William Terbo, and author Jack Hitt. It also includes the first ever ground-penetrating radar investigation into the enigmatic Wardenclyffe tunnels, which have been a source of legends in the community for over a century.

Though geeks may rejoice at a film that includes Nikola Tesla, lightning and the internet... the documentary hopes to introduce the nearly-forgotten scientist to a new audience as well, one unfamiliar with his accomplishments. The filmmaker promises, however, that the results of new research into the tower will appeal to every level of Tesla enthusiast.

Sikorski's goal for "TOWER TO THE PEOPLE-Tesla's Dream at Wardenclyffe Continues" is to raise awareness of the genius inventor's work, continue his research in alternative/wireless energy and to help the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe create a museum on the historic site.
